Three Dreamers Fantini Group Italy Red Wine – A Rich Legacy

Three Dreamers is the flagship creation of Fantini Group, an Italian estate founded in 1994 that has grown into one of Italy’s leading fine wine producers. The brand’s three founders-Valentino Sciotti, Filippo Baccalaro, and Camillo De Iuliis-embarked on a shared vision to craft a modern icon from Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, where they had no vineyard, capital, or winery at the outset. Over nearly three decades, Fantini Group has expanded to manage 200 hectares of organically farmed vineyards, supported by a team of 21 winemakers, and distributes to over 87 countries. The name Three Dreamers symbolizes their unwavering commitment to innovation, quality, and the transformative power of a unified dream.

Three Dreamers

Three Dreamers – A wine born from passion, vision, and friendship.

Three Dreamers Abruzzo Country Red Wine – Unique Terroir

Montepulciano d’Abruzzo lies on the Adriatic coast at the foot of the Gran Sasso mountains, where a blend of Mediterranean sunshine, continental breezes, and mineral‐rich calcareous soils converge. Vines planted on the Colline Teramane DOCG hills around Cantalupo benefit from cool nighttime temperatures that preserve natural acidity and encourage slow, even ripening. These conditions yield grapes with thick skins, concentrated color, and robust tannins-the ideal foundation for the appassimento method. The estate’s commitment to organic viticulture ensures that every berry reflects the true character of Abruzzo’s complex microclimate and geology.

Craftsmanship Details of Three Dreamers Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Italy Red Wine

Each vintage of Three Dreamers begins with hand‐harvested Montepulciano berries selected at peak maturity between late September and early October. Clusters are meticulously sorted to discard any underripe or damaged fruit before being transferred to a controlled drying chamber. Over 60 to 90 days, the appassimento process dehydrates the grapes, concentrating sugars, acids, and flavor compounds. Fermentation follows at a steady 25–28 °C for up to three weeks, after which the wine matures for 18 months in American oak barrels, where gentle vanillin and spice notes integrate with supple tannins.

Three Dreamers Italy Red Wine – Complex Flavors and Aromas

The visual impression of Three Dreamers is a dense ruby red hue with violet highlights and moderate clarity, hinting at the wine’s richness. On the nose, layers of sun‐dried black cherry, prune, and wild blackberry meld with nuances of dark chocolate, black pepper, and a faint smoky undertone. The palate reveals a balanced structure with velvety tannins and bright acidity supporting flavors of ripe plum and cassis. The finish is long and warming, with lingering traces of cocoa, licorice, and Mediterranean herbs that celebrate both the grape variety and the appellation.

Food Pairing Suggestions for Three Dreamers Italy Red Wine

Three Dreamers harmonizes beautifully with hearty red meat dishes, from grass‐fed ribeye steaks to charred lamb chops seasoned with rosemary and garlic. It stands up to smoky barbecue ribs glazed in a tangy tomato‐vinegar sauce and elevates a classic beef ragù tossed with homemade tagliatelle. For cheese pairings, opt for aged Parmigiano‐Reggiano, sharp Pecorino Romano, or a smoky Provolone to match the wine’s depth and tannin profile. A charcuterie board featuring prosciutto, capocollo, and marinated olives also complements the wine’s savory spice and fruit intensity.
